No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report/Shopping Sales/Availability

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Striped bass fishing has been outstanding for us this past week.

Fishing Report

Monday 11/25, We found an epic bite as I had new clients Chris and his 11 yr old son Ryan from Pequannock, NJ along with their friend Bryan out for a 6hr striped bass trip. The first couple of hours started off as we did not mark any bait or fish and were worried about yesterday’s wind messing things up. We made a small move close to where we’ve had good fishing and before we knew it, it was game on with doubles and even a triple! It became very hard to keep the rods in the water. The crew ended up going 14/14 on striped bass from 24”-39”, keeping our 5 man limit of slot fish as well as fish from 28-39”. The rest of the fish were released safely. Everyone caught their first striped bass today too! Great job today guys we look forward to fishing with you again next year!

Tuesday 11/26, The epic bite continued for us! We had Mike, his son Justin, Chris, and Frank out for a 6hr striped bass trip. The bait, whales, and fish were right where we left them yesterday and we had our first bites within minutes. We had a couple double headers as well as a quadruple header today! We ended the day going 16/18 on nice healthy fish from 24”-36”. We kept our 6 man limit of slot fish and unders from 28-36”, releasing the rest for another day.

Wednesday 11/27, And just when we thought the fishing could not get any better, this morning proved us wrong yet again. With a small weather window before the blow, I had Rick from Philadelphia, PA along with his father Rick and brother Alex visiting from Galveston, TX for the holidays out on a striped bass trip. The ocean was flat calm but we knew we didn’t have much time to fish before the weather would change. Within seconds of fishing, we had our first keeper in the box. After that, it was an outstanding bite with double headers almost every time and even a triple header! In just over 2 hours of fishing, the crew went 22/24, keeping our 5 man limit of slot fish and unders to 34” and releasing the rest to fight another day. With a box full of fish we ended the trip early and headed home to beat the weather. Great job today guys, we look forward to fishing with you again!

Saturday 11/30, We ended the last day of November with another outstanding trip. I had Mike, Jay, and Kevin from Forked River, NJ out for a 6hr striped bass trip as well as fishing the 3rd Annual Drumstick Cup Tournament. The forecast was way off and the conditions were very sporty with 4-6’ seas at 5 seconds. We toughed out the weather and made it to where we have had great fishing. The morning started off slow, but after some looking around we boxed our first slot fish. Shortly after, we doubled up on 25lb class fish 38-40”. From there on, we had a steady pick of nice bigger fish in the 34-40” range. We ended the trip with our limit, going 10/13 on bass from 26-40”. We also released fish up to 33”. The body of fish that we found today were much bigger than previous trips with not as many small fish mixed in. We also ended up taking 1st place in the Drumstick Cup with a 40” 25lb fish! Great job today guys!

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report & Availability for Tuesday 11/26

We had a couple of good bass trips within these past few days when weather permitted!

Thursday 11/21 I had new client Bob, along with his two sons Nick and Matt from Galloway, NJ out for a 6hr striped bass charter. The trip started off very slow, but once we figured out the right recipe to “match the hatch” we ended up going 7 for 8. We ended the trip with 7 fish, 1 being a short, 2 being released for good karma, and 4 being kept for the dinner table. The weather was very sporty in the morning but it laid down and turned out to be a beautiful day with plenty of fish around. Great job today guys, we look forward to fishing with you in the future!

Saturday 11/23 we had an EPIC bass bite! I had return clients Andrew and his 12 year old son Aidan from Chester, NJ out for a 6hr striped bass charter. We started in the same area as Thursday and had our first 2 fish on the boat within minutes. Not only were they the first 2 fish of the day, but they were Andrew and Aidan’s first ever striped bass! All morning was a steady pick with all of the slot fish and 28”-41” fish that you could want. We ended the trip going 13/13 on bass up to 30lbs. We could have caught many more but the pace slowed down as the day went on since Andrew and Aidan both had very sore arms. Fishing was so good that they kept on insisting each other reel the next fish in because they were both tired and sore. We kept our 4 man limit of unders as well as 3 slot fish that we tagged. We could have tagged our limit, but Aidan is all about conservation and only wanted to keep enough to feed their family. Kids like him are what’s going to keep fish populations going for generations to come!

I have this Tuesday, 11/26 available for private charter or open boat. The weather looks absolutely beautiful and the fish are here! This is my only date available for the week, as the rest are booked. We have some wind coming around Thanksgiving, so I expect the fish to bite before this next blow.

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing report

This past Friday 11/15, we fished the 10th Annual Stafford PBA 297 Striped Bass Tournament with Eian and Shane. The striped bass fishing was insane with an epic bite all day long. We had our 4 man limit of unders (28 – under 43”) by the time the sun came up. All morning there were birds, bait, bass, and whales all over the surface. It was all of the bass you wanted ranging from 20” to 20lbs on jigs, plugs, soft plastics, and poppers. After messing around with them for a bit we continued to troll, looking for a big fish for the tournament. We released several other fish up to 20lbs throughout the day but never found that big fish that we were looking for. Although we couldn’t find the big one, we caught tons of bass and it was a bite that most people will never forget. We had a great time and congratulations to all of the winners!

We had to cancel our trips this past weekend due to the strong northeast winds. We are hoping to make it out by midweek, weather permitting. We are booked for the upcoming weekend, but have the weekdays available for charter or open boat. With all the bait around, the fall run is in full effect and now is the time to get out and fish!

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

Happy Veterans Day to all of the past and present veterans out there. Yesterday we ran a free trip for veterans in honor of Veterans Day. I had the pleasure of having Scott from Philadelphia on board for a striped bass trip. Scott is a career military veteran who just recently retired from the Air Force. I expected a fairly large crowd due to the holiday and weather forecast but when we got out there, we were all alone. After getting the rods in the water we had our first fish on within the first 15 seconds. It ended up being a 26” slot fish but it was also Scott’s first ever striped bass. Since I made the mistake of forgetting our bonus tags at the dock, we released the fish and hoped for good karma. We worked the area looking for bait and fish but there was not much life. After 2 hours of looking around, we hooked up with a nice fish. Shortly after, we boated Scott’s second ever striped bass weighing in at 40lbs and taping out at 47” long. There was not a ton of action today but we were able to get Scott on his very first striped bass and at 40lbs it is a fish he will never forget. Thank you very much for your service Scott, we look forward to having you out with us again and hope you enjoy your fish.

The marine forecast looks beautiful for this upcoming Thursday and Friday. I am available for charter or open boat both days. The weekend forecast is looking less than favorable with strong northeast winds forecasted, so I expect these fish to feed before the blow.

No Limits Sportfishing – Open Boat Sunday 11/10 and Veteran’s Day Monday 11/11

The striped bass have finally pushed into our area in decent numbers. We have missed out on them a few times due to bad timing but they are here. I am available for chart or open boat tomorrow 11/10 and Veteran’s Day 11/11. Call or text me at (609)-709-7264 get in on these trips!

This morning I had return client Jay along with his 7yr old son Justin, nephews TJ and Ryan, and father in law Bob out for a 6hr striped bass trip. With hundreds of boats in the area we started working an area away from the crowd hoping to find some fish that weren’t scattered. After a couple hours we marked some bait and fish and put 2 keepers in the box within a 15 minutes. As the fleet moved in to the area, the fish scattered and we could not find any more bites. It was a great day and a successful one as well since we were able to get 7yr old Justin on his first ever striped bass.

This past Wednesday I ran an afternoon trip with new client Matt from Beach Haven West. With some great intel from Fish head Greg we headed into the area looking for the great bite that he was on. When we got into the area, we were late and missed the bite by minutes. We set up on the troll and were able to box 1 keeper bass. All afternoon we had several humpback whales around the boat along with unlimited bait. We marked tons of fish but they didn’t cooperate after their feeding frenzy.

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

Along with good reports, we also need to report the bad. These past three days, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, were very tough fishing for us.

Saturday morning I had return client Mike Lombardi along with his friends Will, Mike, and Noah aboard for a 6hr striped bass charter. After the blow we started north hoping it pushed some fish into our area. The entire area was loaded with bait, but the only action we had all day was 1 knockdown. We ended the trip working the inlet with plugs and poppers but could not get the fish to cooperate. It sounded like the whole coast of New Jersey struggled on Saturday. Several tournaments had similar results as us that day with no fish being weighed in.

Sunday I have new clients Rick and his son Ricky from Philadelphia, PA out for a 6hr striped bass charter. We started back north where we marked all the bait on Saturday, except today the bait was scarce. After giving it a couple hours with no bites we moved to the inlet and bay to drift live bait. With some help from Capt. Brett Taylor and a few practice swings, we were able to tag a 26″ bass for them to take home for dinner.

Monday I had new client Bruce from Chester, NJ along with his friends Steve and Bob out for a 6hr striped bass charter. We headed outside and worked some new areas after hearing of an afternoon bite on Sunday that we had just missed. We set up on the troll and within a half hour we had our first fish on. Steve fought the fish and got it 10ft behind the boat in the wash and as we were about to leader it, the fish came unbuttoned. We put in time and worked that area for a while, marking lots of bait and fish, but that ended up being out only bite of the day.

The ocean fishing can only improve from here as the water temp drops and fish migrate into our area. We are going to keep trying our hardest as these past couple of days there has been a very good afternoon bite that we have been missing by a couple of hours. As the tides change, this afternoon bite should turn into a morning bite soon.

I am available for charter or open boat this Thursday, 11/7 since the weather is going to be beautiful with light west winds. I have Saturday 11/9 open for charter and it is the only weekend date that I have left available for the rest of the month. I have this Monday 11/11, Veterans Day available for charter as well. We also have several weekday dates available including the week of Thanksgiving.

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

This past weekend I had return client David and his 9yr old son Desi from Manhattan, NY out for an afternoon 6hr striped bass charter. The goal was to try and catch a striped bass as big as Desi, so with reports of a few big fish caught close to home in the morning, we started to work those areas in the afternoon. We marked several fish but were not able to get any of them to bite. We had a couple humpback whales airing out of the water and putting on a show around the boat as well as a sun fish that swam next to us for a while. With no bites on the troll and not much daylight left, we steamed back towards the inlet and put in some OT where Desi was able to connect with a bass on a popper before we had to head in. It was not the big one he was looking for but at least they were able to head home with dinner and smiles on their faces.

The bass are still a little far north of us but they are starting to show more and more every day as they migrate into our area. I only have a couple weekend dates available in November but I also have 11/5 Election Day and 11/11 Veterans Day available as well as Thanksgiving week. I also have this Sunday 11/3 available for private charter or open boat. I expect November striped bass fishing to be excellent with the good reports and mass of fish from up north that will be migrating through our area.

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

Fishing report

As fluke season came to a close this past weekend and we eagerly await for the opening of sea bass season on October 8 as well as the fall striper run, we switched gears to targeting local striped bass on light tackle.

The past few evenings have been very productive with plenty of striped bass and bluefish. We also started to see some nicer sized bass as well up to 15lbs. Surprisingly we have also been catching more striped bass than bluefish too. There are plenty of unders in the 28”-32” range as well as slot fish which we can tag and keep in the 24”-27.99” range.

The evening bite seems to be the best for the striped bass so we will be running evening trips every day of the week! There are also still plenty of blowfish around in the bay if you are looking to get the kids out or fill a cooler to bring home a nice dinner.

If you would like to get out and catch some striped bass, blowfish, or book a wreck trip for sea bass in October, don’t hesitate to call! We still have a couple of weekend dates available in November for striped bass but we also just opened up several weekday dates to allow for more availability! If you are interested in getting out please give us a call to book your trip. Call or text Captain Mike to get out on the water or send us a message through our website! (609)-709-7264

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

As Labor Day came and went we have been very busy! Here is a recent report from the past couple of days.

Sunday 9/15, we had a last minute cancellation for a blowfish charter. With the boat already loaded up and ready to go, we made a phone call and were able to get our friend Mike out for some blowfish. It was a short trip, but with only 2 hours of fishing time we caught over 70 blowfish and kept 40 for dinner. We also caught juvenile kingfish, porgies, and sea bass. We will have Mike out again in November for striped bass.

Monday 9/16, Jess and I were able to sneak out after work and do some prospecting to prepare for what to fish for and where to fish once fluke season closes this coming Saturday 9/21. We worked several areas, throwing plugs and poppers with light tackle. With less than 2 hours of day light we caught 10 striped bass up to 26” and 30 bluefish in the 2-6lb range. We have our striped bass bonus tags which will allow our customers to keep an extra striped bass between 24” and 27.999”.

As for this coming weekend, I have Saturday 9/21 available for anyone who would like to get out and take a last shot at fluking before the season closes. After Saturday, we will be running multi species trips for striped bass, bluefish, weakfish, blowfish and whatever else would like to bite. Blowfishing is an awesome trip for bringing home dinner or taking kids out after school or on the weekends!

We will also be wreck fishing for sea bass/tautog once the sea bass season opens on 10/8. If you are interested in getting out please give us a call to book your trip. Call or text Captain Mike to get out on the water or send us a message through our website! (609)-709-7264

No Limits Sportfishing – Fishing Report

We hope that everyone had a great Labor Day weekend with family, friends, and fishing!

Saturday 8/31, I had return client Mike along with his wife Lisa, and her cousin Melanie, for a 5hr blowfish/clamming bay charter. We spent the first half of the trip catching over 50 blowfish, keeping 30 for the table. The second half of the trip, we had a clamming spot all to ourselves and they were able to rake and tread close to 300 clams to go along with the blowfish for a nice dinner. We look forward to seeing you guys again in November for striped bass!

Sunday 9/1, we attempted to make it outside for a 6hr ocean fluke trip, but were greeted with with over 20 knots of East wind and short period and steep seas to go with it when we broke the inlet. We could not get to where we wanted to fish, and with a drift of over 2 knots we decided to call a quits and reschedule the trip, hoping for much better conditions next time.

Labor Day Monday 9/2, I had Andrew and his 12 year old son Aidan from Chester, NJ out for a 4hr bay trip for blowfish. Once we got set up on anchor with the chum in the water, the father son duo wasted no time catching blowfish on their first drops. They had a blast catching close to 80 blowfish as well as juvenile porgies, sea bass, and 2 nice kingfish. Aidan was all about catch and release, so they kept 30 blowfish and 1 of the kingfish for dinner and released everything else to swim and catch another day. I taught him how to clean the blowfish, which was easy since we are both lefties, and he was very excited to say that he caught, cleaned, and cooked the fish all on his own. Great job today guys and we look forward to getting you out for striped bass in the fall!

There are only 3 weeks left before fluke season closes. This time of year is the best, and personally my favorite time to fish for fluke. I have the next two weekends available to get out on the end of season fluke bite. I also have afternoons available for blowfish if you are looking to take home a tasty dinner. If you are interested in getting out please contact us to book your trip. Call or text Captain Mike to get out on the water or send us a message through our website! (609)-709-7264
